Projected Goaltending Matchup

Marek Mazanec, 8-8-3, 2 SO, 0.905Sv%, 2.78GAA

Frederik Anderson, 9-2-0, 0 SO, 0.927Sv%, 1.98GAA

Keep an eye on...

Nashville Predators -

Gabriel Bourque – Scratched last game against the San Jose Sharks, Bourque could find his way back into the lineup tonight in lieu of an injured Patric Hornqvist.

Anaheim Ducks -

Nick Bonino - The 25 year old center has scored seven points in his last four games, three goals and four assists.

Main Storylines

Nashville Predators -

  • Can Marek Mazanec collect a win tonight against the NHL-best Anaheim Ducks? If so, it would be his third set of back-to-back wins this season in 20 games.
  • Mike Fisher’s point totals keep rising, however Tuesday’s game against San Jose he was held pointless for the first time since December 27th agains Dallas.
  • Matt Cullen had arguably his worst game as a Nashville Predator on Tuesday evening against the Sharks, can he bounce back tonight?

Anaheim Ducks -

  • The Ducks have won 14 of their past 15, all but one of those wins coming from scoring three goals or more. Can they light up an inconsistent Predators team?
  • While 18-0-2 at home, Anaheim is only 14-8-3 on the road. Every regulation loss that the Ducks have sustained has been on the road.
  • Two of the three regulation losses the Ducks have sustained against Western Conference opponents have come from the Central Division (at Colorado; 6-1 L, at Dallas; 6-3 L)

Last time out...

Kyle Palmieri notched his first hat trick as the Ducks beat Nashville 5-1 on February 27th, 2013.

One interesting fact...

Nashville is 15-7-3 (as well as two ties) against the Anaheim Ducks while playing at home, one of their better winning records against opposition on home ice
