Words from around the locker room…

Eric Nystrom on if he was worried about repeating Halloween night’s game against Phoenix during the second period: “Yeah, we had a tough one in their building, same type of way. We did a good job just starting out well, they had a push in the second period, and in the third period we just said we got to win the period. We really gritted our teeth and had some huge saves, that was a huge win for us”

Colin Wilson on if he was worried about repeating Halloween night’s game against Phoenix during the second period: “We kept it in the back of our minds, but I think we learned from it. We weren’t going to let them come back and that’s kind of the resiliency our team had.”

Colin Wilson on creating pressure after a shutout loss: “You wanna get some goals and getting three in the first period is huge. It gets your confidence back up, making sure you’re not going into a lull like we did in that roadtrip we went on.”

Barry Trotz on the play of Colin Wilson: “When he’s moving his feet and being real strong on the puck, he can do some terrific things for us. We need him to do that on a night in and night out basis. If he can do that, his level of play and his production will go way up.”
