Game Summary:

Nashville closed out their 17-day road trip at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh with a 4-1 loss to the Penguins.

After Gabriel Bourque opened the scoring for the Predators in the first period, the Penguins scored four unanswered goals on Nashville goaltender Marek Mazanec.

Marc Andre Fleury took the win for the Penguins, stopping 17 of 18 shots, while Mazanec took the loss, allowing four goals in 25 shots. Carter Hutton played the third period in net for the Predators, stopping all eight shots that he faced.

The Predators have now lost four straight games and finish their seven game road trip 2-4-1. The team returns to Bridgestone Arena on Saturday night to face the Chicago Blackhawks.



  • Nashville had two power play opportunities and did not score on either. The Predators are now scoreless in their last 12 power play opportunities
  • Since defeating Colorado on November 6, the Predators have been outscored 17-2
  • Mike Fisher returned to the lineup for the first time since leaving the November 2 game against the Los Angeles Kings.
  • Nashville only won 19 of 47 faceoffs. David Legwand won five of the 15 draws that he took while Fisher won three of 12.
  • After fighting Tanner Glass in the second period, Eric Nystrom had to be helped from the ice and did not return.
