About Kristopher Martel
I'm the guy in charge here at The Predatorial. I love hockey and there isn't much that stands in the way of that. I try to rub as much of that hockey love onto everyone I meet and the each article I write, so try your best to become infected. If you read an article I wrote and feel the need to say something about it, feel free to comment below or reach me at kristopher.martel@thepredatorial.com. ALSO, follow us on Twitter at @ThePredatorial. If you ask me something there, I don't care how many followers you have, I'll answer you back.
Wilbon knows hockey. The PTI guys bring up hockey quite a bit, and Wilbon, in particular, constantly defends the sport against the naysayers.
On the Predators finding ways to lose, does this make them the new Vandy?
I also think Legwand works out better on the wing. It’s been proven over and over again, but Trotz likes him at center.
Suter – You made the point with Weber producing on an offensively inept team. By that same token, Suter is racking up the assists on a team with Setoguchi, Parise, Heatley and Koivu. If Weber had those guys on his team he’d be putting up Karlsson numbers this season. Suter being mentioned as a Norris candidate because of all those assists is a total joke.
Kostitsyn – I don’t want to ride his ass forever. The guy needs our support right now, just as the team does. I plan on cheering like heck at the game tonight. I hope the rest of the fans do as well because our boys could really use a lift right now. Kostitsyn in particular.
Fisher – I think, of all the vets that aren’t pulling their weight on this team, Fisher is the last one that people should be on. He’s busting his tail out there, and even if he’s not producing, he’s at least shutting the opposition down. He’s not taking stupid penalties, and he beat the crap out of Robidas. People need to find another scapegoat.
Trotz – No, the message has not run its course. No, Trotz has not lost the room. Every single time the Preds have a bad stretch people ask this question. Eventually the team comes out of it and Trotz is the best coach ever. I think we just need to get this season over with. I fully expect the team to recover in a big way next season… with Trotz at the helm.
Thanks for listening, Diane!
1) Totally agree with the Suter/Noris talk
2) On Kostitsyn, I agree he’s served his time, but he doesn’t need to forget what a boneheaded play that was. He needs that in the back of his mind.
3) Scapegoat should be Erat, not Fisher. I agree
4) Jury is still out on the “message” with Trotz, IMO
Great 1st show! The Mike Tyson punch out bell ring to open is excellent! Great take on fans that know the Preds since day one which is refreshing! Interesting take on Legwand, in which I tend to agree with. Erat, SK74, Hannan, and Guastaud on trading block?? Thanks guys for your insight and work. Enjoy it all the way here in Colorado!
