Nashville vs Detroit – First Round Playoff Schedule

The NHL officially released the dates of the first round match-up between the Nashville Predators and the Detroit Red Wings.

Nashville, who secured the 4th place seed in the Western Conference yesterday after Detroit lost to Chicago in a shootout, will have home ice (and subsequently the 4th seed) for only the third time in franchise history. In the previous two times, Nashville faced off against the San Jose Sharks and were summarily eliminated in 5 games both times.

While that’s a negative way to look back at having the 4 seed, the Predators had some scattered injury problems throughout both of those series and San Jose took advantage.
