On a night where Ryan Ellis would get his first goal and Craig Smith would break his goal drought, the Nashville Predators rattled off four powerplay goals and came back strong with a 5-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes after dropping a 4-1 decision to Dallas on Thursday.

Nashville has now won four of their last five and fly out for a home and home against Colorado on Tuesday

HIGHLIGHTS:

Special Teams:

Powerplay – 4 for 5, 80%
Penalty Kill – 1 for 2, 50%

Best Play of the Game: Martin Erat breaks in the zone during a Predators powerplay opportunity, holds the puck, drops it off to an incoming Shea Weber who blasts it by Peters for a 1-0 Nashville lead

Worst Play of the Game: Jay Harrison broke Pekka Rinne’s shutout bid at 8:35 of the third. Other than that, an overall great 60 minute effort from Nashville.

My Three Stars:

#1: – Patric Hornqvist – 2* goals, 0 assists. SHOULD have had the third goal, but 2 goals is nonetheless a great night

#2: – Mike Fisher – 0 goals, 3 assists. Donating one of his goals to Hornqvist, Fisher played a perfect game all night long.

#3: – Ryan Ellis – 1 goal, 1 assist. His first points of his NHL career and most likely won’t be his last
