Colin Wilson throughout the remainder of 2010-2011 for the Nashville Predators was, essentially, a healthy scratch. For anyone who attended last year’s practices at Centennial or any of the weekends’s training camp, Colin Wilson is a pacing Darth Maul, a caged animal, a ravenous wolverine ready to go out and chew up the competition with the kinetic scoring prowess befitting a first round draft pick.
In the first game of the NHL’s first pre-season doubleheader, the Predators defeated the Florida Panthers by a score of 5-3. Colin Wilson posted 1 goal and 2 assists in the game. If Colin Wilson is using his time on ice during the pre-season to make a point, he is definitely off to a phenomenal start.
Wilson and Kostitsyn are building some chemistry from this game and throughout training camp. It’ll be worth watching which line combinations Trotz will role out tomorrow. Some fans have clamored for a Wilson/Smith/Kostitsyn line with the injury bug still lingering around Fisher. If O’Reilly can get back to his early 2010 form, he might be a key addition to a youthful scoring line with Kostitsyn being the set up man to O’Reilly and Wilson hammering the puck home.
One thing for sure, Colin Wilson will use this time in training camp and pre-season to solidify his place in the Nashville Predators lineup and by cracking the top 6, bring an offensive spark that Nashville can build upon for the 2011-2012 season.

Always liked Colin Wilson, hope this is the year he puts his name on the “map” of the casual hockey fan!
Dirk is right, where are the predictions alluded to in the title? Hmmm?
Check the bottom two paragraphs peanut gallery…I predict that Wilson/O’Reilly/Kostitsyn will be a very formidable offensive force on the Predators. Yeah…I just wanted an allitertive title.
